OBJECTIVE OF TREATMENT
• Remove suspended solids and separate oil from copper-rich solution to meet customer’s requirement of no more than 5ppm.
• Recover valuable organic solvent, recycle water and improve product quality of copper.
BACKGROUND & CHALLENGES
Cooperated with an International Group, LAND ECO has designed and supplied the oil-water separation systems for the Copper Company located at Monywa Myanmar. During the electrowinning process, the product quality might observably be affected with “organic burning spot” or color-changing, due to the high content of oil and SS in copper-rich solution. If the oil content of copper-rich solution can be controlled within 10 mg/L, or even no more than 5mg/L, the product quality of copper would be apparently improved.
LAND ECO SOLUTION
After study on the liquid and subject copper production processes, LAND ECO has designed and supplied the customized system, with the combination of ESPA filters to remove the SS and GAGS separator to separate oil, which perfectly lower the SS and oil content.
