OBJECTIVE OF TREATMENT
Remove suspended solids and oil from production water to enable the water quality meet the discharging regulation. The oil content should be no more than 10mg/L, and SS content should be no more than 10mg/L.
BACKGROUND & CHALLENGES
The production water from Weizhou Oil Field was treated by the conventional water treatment equipment consisting of oil skimming tank and hydro-cyclone, additional with demulsifying agent and water clarifier, and due to the high paraffin content in oil, the oil content in water to be discharged into sea fluctuated around 15ppm to 20ppm with poor stability. In order to lower the oil content of discharging production water for seawater protection purpose, based on research result, CNOOC decided to have LAND ECO KGOL series equipment filtering and separating oil from production water.
LAND ECO SOLUTION
LAND ECO has provided the customized and engineered system, consisting of ten KGOL filters for Platform 12-1 and eight KGOL filters for Platform 11-4 (KGOL1100, 1.0MPa) , out of which, every two KGOL filters working in a group mounted at a same assembly base plate. The system is modularly designed with simple operation and low maintenance, which enable the treated water perfectly meeting discharging requirement.

• The SS content in seawater after being treated is less than 8mg/L and the oil content is less than 15mg/L.
